Tapping Your Way Up The Charts

This item was filled under [ Design ]

If there truly is design for the masses, this music creation tool definitely qualifies. Using friction-sensitive sensors on the glove’s fingertips, users tap out a rhythm and beat while the recorder on the back of the hand sends it wirelessly to your ears and saves it all for later editing. There’s nothing quite like using preexisting habits of behavior to define user interface issues; a really smart idea from Designer Petr Hampl.

Open up the flower to shed some light

A table lamp is the most mundane item on a desk. From the classic bulb-in-a-socket to this gorgeous floral iteration, it’s endured a lot of transformation. In between the pile something as handy as the Torch Lamp did surface, but it’s this refreshing flower that’s got me ticking. The petals close when you bend the lamp downwards and when you pull the lamp up, the metal rod push the petals open. The light bulb in the lamp resembles the pestle of a flower and is from 3dsolidcontent.com. Continue reading…

Fold&Hold Bike is the best seat for your butt

Public transportation has only one drawback, it doesn’t guarantee an empty seat for you to sit on during the course of your transit. The Fold&Hold bike on the other hand ensures that you find a place to park your butt on a comfy base no matter how crowded the tube or the bus is. The uniquely fashioned handles make sure that bike is stationed in such a position that it fits neatly to the side of a railing while offering the seat as a perch. The coupling device with curved handle does the trick! Easy to fold up, comfy to ride, this bike is a cool rider, now only if people won’t keep latching on to railings for support! Continue reading…

A self heating tub for the outdoors

If you love nature and love spending your time outdoors, I’m sure you have wished at least once that you could take a nice warm bath in the wilderness. Here’s where this big orange tub comes into action. You can fill it up water and a fire can be started in the attached basket to kick start the heating process. Killing Trees on the Go

They process information like my grandmother on Valium and cost more to operate per use than smoking crack cocaine with a Belgian prostitute. That being said, printer design has (up until now) been very boring and unimaginative. Continue reading…
