Toshiba will be releasing a new laptop called the G55 next month for $1,550. The G55 comes with an 18.4-inch (1680 x 945) display, Centrino 2 CPU, GeForce 9600M GT, 4GB of RAM, dual drives, and the “Quad Core HD processor” powering many media functions including the camera-based visual gesture control system. Here is a new gaming laptop from Toshiba, the Qosmio X305. The desktop replacement comes equipped with 17inch WSXGA+ (1,680 x 1,050 resolution) LCD monitor, 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX with turbo cache VRAM, Intel 3GHz dual core processor, Dual high-speed 7200RPM hard drives of 200GB (total of 400GB), Up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, S/P DIF and REGZA link HDMI ports. Qosmio G40 97E

I’d have to say that Toshiba has really done it. Not only is the G40 97E a laptop, but it’s also a HD-DVD recorder, as well as digital tv tuner! It features 17 inch widescreen (1920×1200), Core 2 Duo T7500 @ 2.2GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 400 GB HDD, 2 TV tuners, and HD-DVD player and burner. Unfortunately it wont be out in time for the holidays. But it will drop in stores late December for $3,544.20

Toshiba New Qosmio G40W Laptop

Toshiba’s new Qosmio G40W laptop comes equipped with a 2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo T7500 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a GeForce 8600M GT graphic card. The laptop also offers the optical HD-DVD drive, a 17-inch LCD screen with 1900×1200 resolution, and 2 digital TV Tuners. The Qosmio G40W is now available for $2,800.

Toshiba Qosmio G40 17-inch Laptop

Toshiba’s Qosmio G40 17-inch notebook PC supports HD-DVD recording drive. By connecting it to the company’s REGZA LCD TV via REGZA Link, users can enjoy watching full HD video of the HD-DVD on the TV screen and also use reserved recording function controlled by the laptop. FYI, the Qosmio G40 adopts Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics board and 400GB of hard disk drive. No word yet on pricing.

Toshiba Qosmio G45-AV680 Laptop With HD DVD-R Drive

Toshiba released their first U.S. notebook computer with HD DVD-R drive. Known as the Qosmio G45-AV680, this 17-inch notebook comes with a piano-key white glossy finish, back lit (blue light) control knobs, external USB HDTV Tuner, four Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers with a built-in sub woofer, and Dolby Home Theater technology. In the inside, the laptop is powered by 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, up to 4GB RAM, Intel Turbo Memory (1GB), 320GB hard drive, HD DVD burner, and Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card with 512MB memory (plus up to 255MB dynamically allocated shared memory using Nvidia TurboCache technology). The Qosmio G45-AV680 is now available for $3200.

Toshiba has unveiled three new laptops - Qosmio F45, Satellite A215, and X205. Priced at $1600, the 15.4-inch Toshiba Qosmio F45-AV412 is powered by 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo T7100 processor, 1GB Intel Turbo memory, up to 4GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, dual layer DVD burner / HD DVD, Intel X3100 graphics (256MB), webcam, wireless a/g/n, HDMI, fingerprint reader, and Windows Vista operating system. The 15.4-inch Toshiba Satellite A215 is available in two models A215-S4757 ($890) and A215-S4767 ($1250). The laptop provides dual core AMD Turion TL56/TL64 processor, ATI Radeon X1200 graphics with 319MB, and same other specs. The 17-inch Toshiba Satellite X205 S9349/S9359 boasts 2.0GHz C2D T7300 chip, 320GB hard drive, Nvidia GeForce 8700M GT graphics with 512MB DDR3 memory, HD DVD and same remaining configurations. The Qosmio G40 features a 17 inch WUXGA display, dual 160GB hard drives, an HD DVD drive, HDMI output, a 4-in-1 memory card reader, a 2MP camera, and up to 4GB of RAM, while the Qosmio F40 comes equipped with HD DVD drive, a dual hard drive setup, and 4-in-1 memory card reader. The notebook goes on sale this month with the price of $2,442.
