Even after the street adjustment to £500 ($782), JVC’s recently-announced NX-BD3 may not be the cheapest Blu-ray HTIB, but the crew at TrustedReviews found a lot to like with the package. The 2.1-channel starter system — there are taps for four speakers even though you only get a L/R pair in the box — has good aesthetics, solid video performance that holds its own next to the Pioneer BDP-LX71, and audio that keeps up with the visuals. Denon DVD-3800BD Blu-ray Player

Denon is a brand for high quality audio video systems. The company has announced its DVD-3800BD Blu-ray player that utilities the 10-bit Silicon Optix sxT2 HQV Realta chipset to obtain the highest resolution HD video via an HDMI 1.3a connection with 36-bit deep color support. You can also enjoy high-quality sound reproduction thanks to the DDSC-HD audio output with dual 32-bit floating-point Burr Brown DSPs, AL24 processors, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoders. Sherwood offers a new Blu-ray player that is priced at only $299.95. The Sherwood BDP-5003 Blu-ray player features upscaling of regular DVDs, 1080p resolution, video playback at both 60Hz and 24Hz, full compatibility with HDMI 1.3 and supports Dolby TruHD and DTS-Master Audio HD. LG's BD300 available and in the wild

LG’s BD300 Netflix / Blu-ray player may have been delayed in some instances, but it appears that all is well at Best Buy. One particular tipster has managed to acquire the deck and set it up proudly on top of his HD DVD player. He reported that a firmware update was required right from the get-go for Netflix streaming to be utilized, and once that was over, streaming commenced quickly and smoothly. He also noted that Netflix quality was only so-so, but his 2Mbps internet connection did limit the quality to just two out of four stars. Have a look at the in the wild shots below.

LG's BD300 Netflix / Blu-ray deck gets delayed

October 10th has come and gone, and LG’s BD300 has yet to leave the shipping dock. In fact, Circuit City is sending out notifications to consumers that pre-ordered the unit to inform them of the holdup. According to the note, the manufacturer (that’d be LG) has yet to release the product to the store for shipment, meaning that there’s no telling when it’ll finally be received. What’s the deal, LG?
